hamLAN is an event where members of the public can bring their computers and connect to a local area network for the purposes of playing multiplayer computer games. Such networks are also capable of supporting transmission of files from one connected computer to another. While hamLAN ensures that no illegal software or files are available from the hamLAN servers, we can not control what gamers computers may contain, and for this reason hamLAN can not accept responsibility for any files contained on gamers computers nor the sharing of those files on the network.

hamLAN also intends to provide a safe and welcoming environment to gamers, and as such no abuse of any kind of other gamers or hamLAN staff will be tolerated. If we feel you are becoming abusive we will ask you to refrain from such behaviour. However, if it continues we may ask you to leave. If asked to leave you will have forfeited your entry fee - no refunds. However, hamLAN admins cannot be nannies, and as such we require that everyone in attendance be at least 16 years of age.

Consumption of alcohol and drugs at hamLAN will not be tolerated. What you do off premises is your business, but if you are intoxicated and causing a disturbance you will be asked to leave, forfeiting your entry fee. Smoking tobacco is also not permitted on premises; if you have to smoke please ask a hamLAN admin, and they will direct you to an appropriate area.

hamLAN strives to provide a safe enjoyable LAN for everyone, in order to acheive this, we ask you to follow all requests made by hamLAN staff, and we will do our utmost to help you should you have any problems. However not all computer problems can be easily solved and as such we may not be able to help you. Rest assured we will do our best, but no guarantees can be given as to your computers suitability or capability of running any games being played.

We may send emails to the provided address in order to give general information about hamLAN, and upcoming hamLAN events.

By attending any hamLAN event you automatically agree to the above Rules and Regulations.
